Fragility Fractures

Personal Injury

A fragility fracture occurs when someone has a fall from a standing height or less and suffers a break or fracture. When someone falls from that kind of height, the impact should not normally cause a fracture, so when a fragility fracture happens, it points towards an inherent fragility within the skeletal structure. This fragility may be the result of a number of pathological conditions, including osteoporosis.

If you are involved in an accident due to the negligence of another party and suffer a fragility fracture, you may be able to claim compensation.

Personal injury compensation

If you have a condition which increases the fragility of your bone structure, suffering a fracture can be very serious. Although you may have taken steps to avoid injuries which could result in a fragility fracture, you may still be involved in an accident that is the fault of another person. If this is the case, you may be able to claim compensation for your fragility fracture.

Compensation may help with any medical expenses which result from the injury as well as any loss of earnings the fragility fracture may cause.
